What is your favorite hobby or thing to do with your personal time?
In my free time, I enjoy coding and designing webpages. I taught myself how to work with HTML and CSS at a very young age. I love learning how to manipulate code to achieve the desired result. At times, it can be quite a challenge, but it’s one that I thoroughly enjoy!
What is something about you that would surprise people that already know you?
You’d be surprised to learn that I am a very handy person. Over the years, I have learned and developed the skills needed to install hardwood floor, drywall, and backsplash. I’ve worked with a plethora of power tools and love the remodeling process. One of my most rewarding experiences was hand sanding over 200+ lengths of pine siding for a cabin remodel on Houghton Lake. Not only did I sand them, but I also stained each one as well. It was an incredible feeling to see the finished product after so many hours of work. One day, I hope to use these skills to remodel my own home.
If you could have dinner with somebody famous, living or dead, who would it be and why?
If I could have dinner with anyone famous, I’d choose James Cameron. I have an immense fascination with other worlds and cultures and have acquired a very large list of questions for him in regards to his world of Pandora. The Sci-Fi genre has always been a favorite of mine, and Pandora is no exception. I’d love to know what inspired him to create that world, as well as what research he had to do to bring it to life. And finally, would he journey to Pandora if given chance?
How do you define “exceptional”?
I define ‘exceptional’ as going above and beyond in everything that you do. To be exceptional, I feel that you have the responsibility to put in the maximum effort and to ensure the quality of whatever it is that you’re doing.
