What is your favorite hobby or thing to do with your personal time?

I love to read. I am an avid reader; I average about three books a month even with a two year old. I also spend a lot of time painting and doing all kinds of crafts from wood burning to building furniture. I have a real passion for any DIY project and am always looking for new challenging projects.

What is something about you that would surprise people that already know you?

When I was in high school I used to participate in MMA training. My parents owned a company growing up so I’ve had a job every day after school since I was ten years old. Due to my employment I was limited on a lot of extra curricular activities provided by the school so I did MMA because I loved it and it was something I could make my own schedule for.

If you could have dinner with somebody famous, living or dead, who would it be and why?

If I could choose someone to have dinner with I would choose my Grandfather. He wasn’t “famous” per se but he was famous in my book. He was an amazing man; he started his own company and built it from the ground up. He is one of my biggest inspirations in life. He was the most caring and hardworking man I have ever met. He was taken suddenly from us and I would give anything for a couple more minutes with him, to hear just one more of his bad jokes.

How do you define “exceptional”?

Exceptional to me is doing more than expected. I believe being exceptional happens when an individual or a collective group of individuals have a passion for what they do, a passion that drives them to strive to be the best, to go out of their way to make sure everything they do is the best of their ability.
